BALB/3T3 clone A31 was established in 1968 by S.A. Aaron son and G.T. Todaro from the cleaved 14-17 day BALB/c mouse embryos

One of the cell lines (see ATCC CCL-164, BALB/3T12). Cell division is particularly sensitive to contact inhibition. Growth requires high dilution and low saturation concentration,

It is highly susceptible to oncogene DNA virus SV40 and mouse sarcoma virus. The detection showed that the mouse pox virus was negative. It was put into storage after identification without mycoplasma.
