L1 is a continuous sub-strain of 3T3 (swiss mouse) isolated by cloning. 3T3-l1 is a cell line derived from (mouse) 3T3 cells, which is used for biological research of adipose tissue. 3T3-L1 cells have fibroblast-like morphology, but under appropriate conditions, cells differentiate into adipocyte-like phenotype. 3T3-L1 cells with adipocyte morphology increase the synthesis and accumulation of triglycerides, and obtain the ring-like appearance of adipocytes. These cells are also sensitive to fat and lipid hormones and drugs, including epinephrine, isoproterenol and insulin. It was put into storage after identification without mycoplasma.

Culture media and additives/Complete Growth Medium and Culture Conditions:
90% DMEM (MD0100)+10% calf serum (SD0400)+G/A (SD0038)
Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.
Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)
Complete cryopreservation solution: non-programmed cooling cell cryopreservation solution (low serum) (SD0001)
