Hep G2 215 [Hep G2 2.15] Human Hepatocytes Expressing HBV Virus

The parent cell line was isolated from the human hepatoma cell line HepG2, which was derived from the hepatoblastoma tissue of a 15-year-old male patient. Hep-G2/2.2.15 was produced by stably transformed Hep-G2 cells and related to the hepatitis B virus (HBV) genome. Hep-G2/2.2.15 cells are resistant to G418 and contain two head and tail dimers of hepatitis B virus. Hep-G2/2.2.15 cells have lower cell invasion activity than their parent HepG2 cells and have tumorigenicity of nude mice.
