HEPES, namely, N '- a-hydroxypiperazine-N' - ethanesulfonic acid, is a hydrogen ion buffer that can control a constant pH range for a long time. The effective buffer range is pH6.8-8.2. It is often used to prepare protein extraction buffer, buffer for cell culture, etc.

The final concentration of HEPES used for cell culture is 10-25MM, which can maintain a relatively constant PH value in open culture or cell observation. HEPES buffer solution is sterile and can be directly used for cell culture. Storage at 4 ℃ can extend the shelf life of the product, and low-temperature storage is not recommended for long-term use.
