T/g Ha VSMC Human Aortic Smooth Muscle Cells

The samples were taken from normal Caucasian women aged 11 months. T/GHA-VSMC cell line was established in 1992 (TilbergAF, et al). The cell line is a limited cell line, which can age and die due to continuous passage. The continuous passage test showed that T/GHA-VSMC cells would age and die after 15-20 population doubling times, so it was necessary to control the limited passage times.

Morphology: Fibroblast-like, adherent growth

Culture media and additives/Complete Growth Medium and Culture Conditions:

F-12K+0.05 mg/ml ascorbic acid+0.01 mg/ml insulin+0.01 mg/ml transferrin+10 ng/ml sodium selenite+0.03 mg/ml (ECGS) (P1002)+fetal bovine serum (SD0200)+HEPES(SD0009)+TES 10 mM+G/A (SD0038)

Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)

Complete cryopreservation solution: non-programmed cooling cell cryopreservation solution (low serum) (SD0001)
