L Wnt-3A Mouse Subcutaneous Connective Tissue Cells

   L-M (TK -) cells (ATCCCCL-1.3) were transfected with Wnt-3A expression vector and stably transfected in G418 containing medium. The Wnt-3A gene encodes a mutant signal efficient secretory glycoprotein. Wnt genes control many pattern formation and growth events during embryogenesis. These cells secrete biologically active Wnt-3A protein. They are currently the best source for producing Wnt-3A conditioned media. Because this conditional medium also contains other factors besides Wnt-3A protein, it is necessary to use its source cell line (ATCCCRL-2648) as a control for experiments involving Wnt-3A conditional medium.
