AAV-293 Human Embryonic Kidney Cells

We recommend using AAV-293 cell line to reproduce adenovirus-associated recombinant virus. AAV-293 is derived from HEK293 cell line which is widely used, but the virus titer produced is higher. HEK293 cells are human embryonic kidney cells transfected with cleaved adenovirus type 5 DNA. Like HEK293 cells, AAV-293 cells trans-express adenovirus E1 gene. When three AAV co-plasmids (one containing ITR, pAAV-RC, and E1 deletion co-plasmid) are transfected, they can produce infectious adenovirus-associated virus particles

Culture media and additives/Complete Growth Medium and Culture Conditions:

90% DMEM (MD0100)+10% fetal bovine serum (SD0100)+G/A (SD0038)

DMEM complete medium (article number: MD0101)

Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)

Complete cryopreservation solution: non-programmed cooling cell cryopreservation solution (low serum) (SD0001)
