LNCaP Clone FGC Human Prostate Cancer Cells

The prostate cancer cell LNCaP clone FGC was isolated from the needle biopsy of the left clavicular lymph node of a 50-year-old white man (blood type B+) who was diagnosed as metastatic prostate cancer. This cell line is sensitive to 5- α- Dihydrotestosterone (growth regulator and acid phospholipase product) responds. This cell line does not form a uniform monolayer, but forms a colony, which can be repeatedly blown and broken with a dropper during passage. They are only slightly adsorbed on the substrate and do not form a confluence, which quickly turns the culture medium sour. It grows very slowly. It shall not be disturbed within 48 hours after generation. When the culture bottle is sealed, most cells are separated from the bottom of the culture bottle and suspended in the culture medium. After receiving, the cells were cultured for 24 to 48 hours under the conditions of normal monolayer culture to make the cells adhere to the wall again. After that, fresh culture medium can be replaced. If necessary, the contents of the culture bottle can be collected, centrifuged with 300g for 15 minutes, resuspended with 10ml of culture solution and cultured into a separate culture bottle. Please use Corning's Cellbind flask for cultivation.
