9L/lacZ Rat Gliosarcoma Cells

The 9L/lacZ cell line developed from the 9L cell line (rat nitrourea induced glioma cell line) in 1989. Carry E The retroviral vector encoding the beta-galactosidase lacZ gene and the BAG replication defect of the Tn5 neomycin gene with G418 resistance was infected with the 9L cell line. Cells were cultured in the presence of G418 for 14 days, cloned, and beta-galactosidase production was detected. 9L/lacZ produces a high level of enzyme, which is selected for subsequent research. The cells continuously expressed lacZ reporter gene products from E Beta-galactosidase derived from coli can be used to identify individual tumor cells by histochemical staining of tissue sections. Lymphocytes and other response cells on the same chip can also be identified by double-labeled antibodies. The contrast between stained cells and background is beneficial to image analysis. This is one of the few brain microscopic tumor models that allow quantitative analysis. This tumor mimics the important characteristics of the growth and transmission of human brain tumors. The expression of beta-galactosidase is very stable, but it should be cloned again after several months of cell culture. It was put into storage after identification without mycoplasma.
