2V6.11 Human Embryonic Kidney Cells

This cell line was derived from human embryonic kidney cell line 293 in 2001. 293 cells were transfected with plasmid pVgRXR carrying Zeocin-resistance marker to obtain 293 pVgRXR cells. Subsequently, the plasmid pEKORF6 containing the Ad5 E4 ORF6 gene encoding E4 24K was transfected. PEKORF6 is derived from the plasmid pIndHydro containing the hygromycin resistance gene. The vector contains SV40 virus sequence. The 2V6.11 cell line was initially isolated from the culture medium containing hygromycin using a clone ring. Human adenovirus E4 34KDa protein induced by 2V6.11 cells can be detected by immunoblotting. This cell line can be used as a tool to study the adenovirus E4 oncogene. It was identified as free of mycoplasma/STR and put into storage.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)

Complete cryopreservation solution: non-programmed cooling cell cryopreservation solution (low serum) (SD0001)
