Pk-15 Pig Kidney Cell Line

PK-15 cells were established in 1955 (Stice, E). It is a clone of PK-1a cells. The cell line can be used to study the proliferation and characteristics of various viruses. In addition, the electron microscope observation found that there were C-type virus particles in PK-15 cells, which was the material for studying C-type virus.

Morphology: epithelial-like, adherent growth

Culture media and additives/Complete Growth Medium and Culture Conditions:

90% DMEM (MD0100)+10% fetal bovine serum (SD0200)+G/A (SD0038)

DMEM complete medium (article number: MD0101)

Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)

Complete cryopreservation solution: non-programmed cooling cell cryopreservation solution (low serum) (SD0001)
