WPMY-1 Human Normal Prostate Stromal Immortalized Cells

Like RWPE-1 cells (ATCCCRL-11609), the myofibroblast stromal cell line, WPMY-1, is derived from stromal cells in the surrounding area of the same adult prostate tissue section. Through a pRSTV material structure, the stromal cells were immortalized with SV40 large T antigen. WPMY-1 cells, like RWPE-1 cells and other epithelial cell derived strains, belong to a series of cell lines derived from the same prostate. Because they originate from the surrounding area of the same prostate, WPMY-1 cell line is particularly useful for studying the interaction between secretion and stroma and epithelial cells.

Morphology: myoblast-like, adherent growth

Culture media and additives/Complete Growth Medium and Culture Conditions:

95% DMEM (MD0100)+5% fetal bovine serum (SD0200)+G/A (SD0038)

DMEM complete medium (article number: MD0103)

Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)

Complete cryopreservation solution: non-programmed cooling cell cryopreservation solution (low serum) (SD0001)
