P19 Mouse Teratoma Cells

P19 cell line was established from malignant teratoma induced in C3H/He mice. The cells could be cloned efficiently in the medium containing 0.1mM2 mercaptoethanol. The cells are pluripotent and can differentiate into neuroglia-like cells under the induction of 500 nM retinoic acid; In the presence of 0.5%~1.0% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), cardiac and skeletal muscle-like cells were differentiated, but neural or glial-like cells were not formed; In the presence of DMSO and retinoic acid, the differentiation of cells is the same as that of only retinoic acid.

Medium and Culture Conditions

90% α MEM (MD0800)+10% fetal bovine serum (SD0200)+150mg/L L-glutamine (SD0007)+G/A (SD0038)

Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)

Complete cryopreservation solution: non-programmed cooling cell cryopreservation solution (low serum) (SD0001)
