Beta TC-6 Mouse Insulinoma Islet β Cells

This cell line is derived from a pancreatic tumor (insulinoma) grown in transgenic mice. This mouse carries SV40 regulated by rat insulin II gene promoter.

Pseudogene structure of early genes. Cells contain abundant insulin and small amounts of glucagon and somatostatin. Insulin is secreted in response to glucose.

DMEM complete medium (MD0140)

Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)
