Pluronic® F-68 polyol solution

Pluronic F-68® is a difunctional block copolymer surfactant terminating in primary hydroxyl groups. It is a non-ionic detergent that protects cells from hydrodynamic damage. It can be also used for in vitro isolation of lymphocytes from diluted whole blood.

Application Notes

Pluronic® F-68 is a non-ionic surfactant in cell culture used to control shear forces in suspension cultures against possible damage during freezing and thawing, transfer and stirring. It can also be used to reduce foaming in stirred cultures and reduce cell attachment to glass. Pluronic® F-68 prevents agglomeration of cells. It can be also used for in vitro isolation of lymphocytes from diluted whole blood.
