Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCS) are precursor cells of vascular endothelial cells, also known as angioblasts, which can be mobilized from bone marrow to peripheral blood to participate in the repair of damaged blood vessels under physiological or pathological stimuli. In 1997, Asahara and others first demonstrated the existence of precursor cells in circulating peripheral blood that can differentiate into vascular endothelial cells, and named them vascular endothelial progenitor cells. Recent studies have shown that endothelial progenitor cells play an important role in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, peripheral vascular diseases, tumor angiogenesis, and wound healing, and provide new ideas for the research and treatment of ischemic diseases. In recent years, the research on the biological characteristics and therapeutic effects of EPCs has become a new hotspot in this field. Cells were frozen in P3 generation, and EPCs were identified and warehoused through a combination of CD34 and CD133 antigens.
