PC-14 human lung adenocarcinoma cells

PC-9 cells (formerly PC-14), derived from human lung adenocarcinoma, are still differentiated in lung tissue. PC-14 was originally developed in 1989 as a human lung adenocarcinoma(undifferentiated) cell lines are stored in the Riken Biological Resource Center. Riken Biological Resources Center subsequently notified the European Cell Culture Collection Center (ECACC）Carry out short tandem repeat (STR) DNA map analysis, and cooperate with Japan Immunobiology Laboratory Co., Ltd., which has proved that the cell line is from human,The PC-9 cell line of lung adenocarcinoma (differentiated type) is the same. The error recognition occurred before the cell line was stored in the Ricken Biological Resource Center. To reflect this finding.The name of the cell line has been changed to PC-9.
