CT26.WT-Luc mouse colorectal adenocarcinoma cells

CT26 is an undifferentiated colon cancer cell line induced by N-nitroso-N-methylurethane - (NNMU). The cell line it cloned was named CT26. WT (ATCC CRL-2638). CT26. WT was stably transfected with a retroviral vector LXSN containing the lacZ gene encoding the typical tumor associated antigen (TAA) beta galactosidase (beta gal) to obtain a lethal subclone CT26. CL25 (ATCC CRL-2639). Even though CT26. CL25 expressed the typical TAA beta galactosidase, the growth rate and lethality of CT26. CL25 and CT26. WT remained basically consistent in normal mice. Together with CT26. CL25 (ATCC CRL-2639), it can be used as a model for testing immunotherapy procedures and for studying host immune responses. The culture submitted to ATCC in July 2001 contaminated mycoplasma. The offspring were treated with BM cyclin for 21 days to eliminate mycoplasma. Six weeks after treatment, Mycoplasma was detected using Hoechst staining, PCR, and standard culture tests. CT26. WT-Luc is a cell labeled with luciferase, which can be tracked in small animals using fluorescent insect luciferase markers.
