LS 174T Human Colon Cancer Cells

LS 174T is a trypsinized variant of LS 180 (ATCC CL 187) colon adenocarcinoma cell line. It is easier to pass through than its parents and generates a large amount of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) like LS 180. Electron microscopic studies showed that there were abundant microfilaments and cytoplasmic mucin vacuoles. Rectal antigen 3 was positive. The expression of p53 antigen was negative, but the expression of mRNA was positive. It is from the same tumor as ATCC CL-187. LS 174T cells were positive for keratin staining. The expression of oncogenes c-myc, N-myc, H-ras, N-ras, Myb, and fos was positive. The expression of oncogenes k-ras and sis was not detected. It was identified as free of mycoplasma/STR and put into storage.

Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)
