HEL Human Erythroleukemia Cells

This lymphoblast-like cell line, derived from a 30-year-old white male with malignant erythrocytic leukemia, can naturally produce and induce globulin synthesis. The EB virus nuclear antigen of cells is negative, and there is no surface immunoglobulin and cytoplasmic immunoglobulin. HEL cells express HLA antigens (HLA-A3, AW32, BW35), β- 2 Glomeruloprotein, a certain proportion of cells also express Ia antigen. This cell line provides a model for studying erythrocyte differentiation and globulin gene expression. It is similar to hemophilia in mice. Through mycoplasma detection in this library.
