SW1353 [SW 1353, SW-1353] Human Chondrosarcoma Cells

SW 1353 cells were initially obtained from a 72-year-old female white man with primary grade II chondrosarcoma of the right humerus. The initial medium was L-15 containing cortisone and insulin with 10% FBS and antibiotics. In January 1982, ATCC received a frozen storage tube that was passed down to 12 generations.
