Y-79 [Y79] Human Retinoblastoma

In January 1971, the cell was established by primary culture of the tumor resected from the right eye of the patient by ReidTW and his colleagues. The patient has a strong maternal family heredity of retinoblastoma. The ultrastructure of the cell, such as nuclear membrane inner fold, three-layer membrane structure, large capsule vesicles, annular pore plate, microtubules, centriole, grana, and so on, are similar to the original tumor.

Morphology: round, suspended and clustered

Culture media and additives/Complete Growth Medium and Culture Conditions:

80% 1640 (MD0200)+20% fetal bovine serum (SD0200)+G/A (SD0038)

Complete medium: 1640 complete medium (article number: MD0203)

Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)

Complete cryopreservation solution: non-programmed cooling cell cryopreservation solution (low serum) (SD0001)
