P388D1 Mouse Lymphoid Tumor Cells

Tissue established the mouse P-388D1 monocyte/macrophage cell line from the ascites of DBA/2 mice with lymphoid tumors in 1975 (Koren et al. 1975). P-388D1 cells are oval, round, loosely adherent cells and grow in a single layer. When stimulated by lipopolysaccharide or Fulbao 12-myristic acid-13-acetate, they produce IL-1 and LAF (lymphocyte activating factor). Cells phagocytosis enzymes and latex beads, and are active in the antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity system.
