SVG p12 Human brain astrocytes

SVG p12 cells are human fetal astrocytes isolated from the brain tissue of embryos aged 8-12 weeks, transfected with SV40 DNA with a replication start point mutation, and then lined. This cell expresses the SV40 T antigen and is easily infected by JC virus, making it useful for detecting and culturing human neurotropic viruses.
