Immortalized human lung microvascular endothelial cells HULEC-5a

Transfection of human pulmonary microvascular endothelial cells with pBR-322 plasmid pSVT vector containing the large T antigen coding region of monkey virus 40A gene product HULEC-5a retains many characteristics of endothelial cells. These immortalized cells are the source of continuous regeneration of human endothelial microvascular cells and can be used as substitutes for primary human pulmonary endothelial cells for many studies.
