With regard to its tissue structure, domestic and foreign scientific books agree that the trabecula is collagen fiber, and the surface of the trabecular space is covered with endothelium. In a large number of early studies on the structure of TM, it is also believed that TM is mainly composed of collagen fibers and endothelial cells. For example, Zou Huan's study shows that TM is a spongy lamellar structure, composed of porous and flat collagen fibers. The fluctuation of intraocular pressure TM will cause certain morphological and structural changes; In recent years, Koudouna et al. believed that the cell lamella of TM was composed of collagen fibers and a small amount of trabecular endothelial cells, which were filled with extracellular matrix molecules including elastin, collagen and some black granular substances with high density electrons.

HTMC is an immortalized cell line. After immortalization, the number of cell passages is prolonged, but the cell growth is slightly slow. Using the common D/F medium to culture, the cost of the experiment is greatly reduced. It is an ideal cell line for gene research and targeted research.
