K-562 Human Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia Cells

The continuous cell line K-562 was established by Lozzio from the pleural fluid of a dying 53-year-old female patient with chronic myeloid leukemia. Cells are classified as highly undifferentiated granulocytes. Anderson et al.'s research on the properties of its surface facial mask shows that K-562 is a human red and white blood disease cell. K-562 cell line is widely used as a highly sensitive receptor in vitro in natural killer analysis. See Pross et al. used it for detailed detection of NK cells in vitro, including mathematical quantification of NK cell activity. K-562 mother cells are pluripotent, hematopoietic malignant cells, which can spontaneously differentiate into recognizable red blood cell progenitor cells, granulocytic leukocytes, monocytes, etc. It is EBNA negative; Samples were taken from 53-year-old women.
