SK-N-MC Human Neuroepithelioma Cells

This cell line is one of two neural tissue-derived cells established by BiedlerJL (the other is SK-N-SH), which was isolated in September 1971. The cell has moderate dopamine- β- Hydroxylase activity also has intracellular catecholamines that can be indicated by formaldehyde induced fluorescence. It was identified as free of mycoplasma/STR and put into storage.
