Snu-1 Human Gastric Cancer Cell

SNU-1 is a near-diploid cell line with 47 modal chromosomes; Double microchromosomes were found in 28% of cells. In semi-solid medium, their colony forming efficiency was 1.9%, and the population doubling time was 26 hours. Cells grow into floating aggregates of round cell clusters. This is a superdiploid human cell line with 47 modal chromosomes in 94% of cells. The higher ploidy appears at 42%, which is very high. Karyotypes 47, XY, t (1; 4) (q24; q33),+M1 are very uniform and stable. M1 is a small metacentric chromosome of F size.
