WERI-RB-1 Retinal Glioma

WERI-Rb-I cell line is one of two human eye cancer cell lines established by R.M. McFall and T.W. Sery in 1974. Cells can survive in Difco Bacto-Agar without forming clones. Scanning electron microscopy showed changes in the number and frequency of vesicles, plate-like pseudopodia and microvilli on the surface. Cell differentiation research, animal model of tumor treatment and biochemical evaluation all involve this cell line.

Morphology: round cells gather into grape-like and grow in suspension
