Products Description
Mouse bone marrow cell LADMAC is a transformable cell line created by transfecting mouse bone marrow cells enriched with macrophages by transfecting the human myc gene plasmid pBR325 (pR myc). This cell morphology resembles that of monocytes; Contains nonspecific esterase enzymes; It has a phagocytic effect on latex beads; It secretes lysozyme and carries the Mac-1 antigen. A small number of cells express Fc receptors, but a considerable number of cells express complement receptor 1. Reportedly, this cell is tumorigenic in homozygous nude mice, but does not form tumors in mice of the same strain. These cells do not phagocytosis antibodies or complement-coated granules, nor do they secrete interleukin-1. Additionally, LADMAC cells secrete colony-stimulating factor 1 (CSF-1), which supports the in vitro proliferation of mouse bone marrow macrophages. The Pannell-Milstein bottle roller device can be used to produce high concentrations of CSF-1, so these cells can be used to produce conditional culture media, suitable for culturing macrophages such as EOC2 , EOC 20 , and others.
