L Cells Mouse Fibroblasts

L Cells are spontaneous immortalized fibroblasts derived from NCTC clone 929 [L-929] cells, originally isolated from the areola fat tissue of 100-day-old male mice. This cell is a suitable transfection host and is often used to prepare conditional culture media. This medium can serve as a blank control from Wnt-3A or Wnt-5A conditional media (produced by L Wnt-3A or L Wnt-5A cells). L Cells cells are the parent strains of L Wnt-3A cells, L Wnt-5A, L-WRN, and others, and are highly homologous or identical to L-M (TK-) cells.
