Products Description
C666-1 cells are one of the subclones of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell C666. In 1989, a male patient with nasopharyngeal carcinoma who had not undergone any radiotherapy or chemotherapy had undifferentiated tumor biopsy tissue samples implanted into the renal sacs or subcutaneously injected into the body in thymoless mice. After 18 xenotransplantation passengers, the cell line C666 was established. Both C666-1 and its parent C666 cells contain EBV DNA, and EBV-associated nuclear antigen (EBNA) is positive. According to reports, C666-1 cells have a karyotype subdiploid with a chromosome mode of 45, and can form tumors in nude mice without thymosals. Since some cell lines of nasopharyngeal carcinoma have been reported to be contaminated with HeLa, C666-1 cells are one of the few important tools available for nasopharyngeal carcinoma research.
