Human colorectal adenocarcinoma cells SNU-C5 were isolated from the colon of a 77-year-old Asian woman with poorly differentiated colorectal adenocarcinoma. Reportedly, these cells contain BRAF mutations (Val600Glu) and TP53 mutations (Val218Leu and Arg248Trp), and are widely used in tumor research.
