Human acute myeloid leukemia cells OCI-AML3, also known as OCI-Aml-3, OCI/AML-3, OCI-AML3, OCIAML3, Ontario Cancer Institute-Acute Myeloid Leukemia-3, etc.
OCI-AML3 cells were isolated and line-formed in 1987 from the peripheral blood of a 57-year-old Caucasian male with acute myeloid leukemia (FAB type M4 leukemia). These cells carry NPM1 gene mutations (type A) and DNMT3A R882C mutations, commonly used in cancer-related research.
