Expi293F cells are the core component of the Expi293 expression system, derived from the human embryonic kidney cell 293 [HEK-293] cell line, and are a subclone of 293F cells. Expi293F cells are maintained in suspension culture and can grow in Expi293 expression medium until they reach high density. Compared to other 293 cells adapted to Expi293 expression media, Expi293F cells exhibit faster growth and higher survival rates. Additionally, Expi293F cells exhibit high transfectibility and generate high yields of exogenous proteins during transient protein expression. They are widely applicable to high-yield protein production, recombinant antibody expression, tetracycline-induced cell protein expression, industrial bioreactors, and other application directions.
