Improved ready-to-use oil Red O dyeing kit

The ready-to-use fat cell staining kit is specially used for tissue, cell and other fat/fat drop staining;

Operation steps:

1.The ratio of PBS and oil red dye is 2:3;

2.Take out mature adipocytes that can reach the staining mark, and wash them with PBS twice;

3.Add 10% neutral formaldehyde for fixation for more than 30min, and 95% alcohol can also be used for fixation

4.Add diluted dye working solution and incubate in dark for 10-25min;

5.Decolorize, rinse with 75% alcohol/60% isopropanol to remove excess dye

Points needing attention:

       When dyeing with oil red O, the background should be avoided due to the volatilization of the dye solution

       The frozen section stained with oil red O should be moderately thick, generally 10-15 µ m, and the section is too thin to cause fat loss.

       Oil red O staining results cannot be stored for a long time. After dyeing, observe and take photos as soon as possible.
