Background: Immobilized Renal Proximate Tube (RPT) Cell Line Derived From Primary Rabbit Kidney Proximate Tube Cell Cultures Which Were Transferred With The PRSV-T Vector Containing SV40 Early Region Genes The Renal Proximal Tubule Contains The Components, Proximal Convulated Tubule, Loop Of Henle And The Distal Convulated Tubule.  Damage To The Tube Can Lead To Kidney Diseases Such As Diabetes Or Glomerular Disease. The Proximal Tubule Of The Kidney Is A Part Of The Nephron (the Structural And Functional Unit Of The Kidney), Which Contains Tubular Fluid Filtered By The Glomerulus. Proximal Renal Tubules Include Proximal Convoluted Tubules, Henle Loops And Distal Convoluted Tubules. Tubular Damage Can Lead To Kidney Disease, Such As Diabetes Or Glomerular Disease.
