MDA-MB-435S Human Melanoma Cells

MDA-MB-435S is a spindle cell, which was screened from its parent (435) in 1976. 435 was isolated from the pleural fluid of a 31-year-old female patient with metastatic breast ductal adenocarcinoma. When tubulin was stained with fluorescent dye, the parent cells showed dispersion characteristics (type II). Recently, cDNA array studies showed that the parent (MDA-MB-435) could be classified as the origin of melanoma. It was identified as free of mycoplasma/STR and put into storage.

Morphology spindle-shaped, adherent growth

Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)
