Human embryonic kidney cells 293F [HEK293-F] (suspension) (F stands for Fast-growth) are a fast-growing, highly transfectable clone derived from 293 [HEK-293] cells (catalog number: CD0021). Our library produces 293F [HEK293-F] cells. grown adherently through acclimation to obtain 293F [HEK293-F] (suspension) cells that can be suspended and cultured. Under serum-free culture, these cells can achieve high density (over 3 million per milliliter) through suspension culture. They are highly efficient at expressing recombinant proteins and are widely used in the preparation of viral vectors for gene therapy, including adenovirus, lentivirus, and retroviral vectors. They grow quickly, are easy to transfect, and are ideal for transient transfection, producing high-yield proteins within days after transfection. This feature facilitates scale-up processes in biotechnology and biopharmaceuticals.
