HGF-1 Human gingival fibroblasts

HGF-1 is a cell line with fibroblast morphology, isolated in 1989 from the gums of a 28-year-old white male patient. Cell longevity studies show that before aging begins, cells can regenerate 22 times their population doubling (i.e., unknown +22). Epidermal growth factor (EGF) and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) stimulate DNA synthesis and proliferation in HGF-1 cells.
