MH7A Human rheumatoid arthritis fibroblasts

MH7A originates from intra-articular soft tissue of the knee synovium in a patient with rheumatoid arthritis. This cell line achieved immortalization by stably transfecting the SV40 large T antigen gene, preserving key phenotypic features of primary synovial fibroblasts. However, compared to primary cells: MH7A cells have broken through the passthrough limit, can multiply over 150 populations, proliferate significantly faster than primary synovial fibroblasts, and have significantly reduced serum requirements. Additionally, IL-1β can induce MH7A cells to produce IL-6, stromelysin-1, and ICAM-1 expression, consistent with the response patterns of primary cells.
