PC-12 rat adrenal chromaffin cell tumor cells (lowly differentiated)
No.:CD0735
Price: ¥1000 ¥1300
Products Description
The PC-12 (low-grade) cell line originates from transplantable adrenal chromaffin tumors of male rats. These cells express the nerve growth factor (NGF) receptor, and NGF can induce the development of a neuronal phenotype. These cells do not synthesize adrenaline. Compared to PC-12 (undifferentiated) cells (stock number: CD0156), PC-12 (low-grade) cells are larger in size, polygonal in shape, and exhibit shorter processes. Their cytoplasm is rich in microtubules and neuron-specific proteins, and they begin to express differentiation marker genes such as tyrosine hydroxylase. These cells grow slowly but possess strong differentiation potential, demonstrate enhanced responsiveness to NGF, and can differentiate into neuron-like cells. PC-12 (low-grade) cells are primarily used for studying neuronal cell differentiation processes and the pathogenesis of neurodevelopmental disorders.
