SH-SY5Y Human Neuroblastoma Cell

The human neuroblastoma cell line was established in 1970. It is a subline of neuroblastoma SK-N-SH cell line after three times of cloning (SK-N-SH → SH-SY → SH-SY5 → SH-SY5Y). It is reported that the saturation density of SH-SY5Y cells is more than 1000000/cm2, and the cells express moderate dopamine β Hydroxylase activity. In the later stage, it was found that the cells were slightly polluted. Culture media and additives/Complete Growth Medium and Culture Conditions:

90% DMEM high glucose (MD0300)+10% FBS/fetal bovine serum (SD0200)+G/A (SD0038)

Complete medium: SH-SY5Y complete medium (article No.: MD0101)

Gas phase: air, 95%; Carbon dioxide, 5%. Temperature: 37 ℃.

Freezing conditions: basic medium+5% DMSO+20% FBS (SD0200)

Complete cryopreservation solution: non-programmed cooling cell cryopreservation solution (low serum) (SD0001)
