NP-40 Cell lysis buffer

After lysis, protein-protein interactions can be retained and it is suitable for experiments such as CoIP, Pull-down, and MST. Adding protease/phosphatase inhibitors (such as PMSF 1 mM or Na₃VO₄ 1 mM or leupeptin 1 µg/mL, etc.) to the lysis buffer before use can disrupt the cell membrane without affecting the binding of proteins and RNA. It can also help dissolve cell membranes and organelles, releasing proteins and RNA. NP-40 lysis buffer has become a commonly used reagent for animal cell lysis due to its mildness, high efficiency, low interference and wide applicability.
